Twitter has launched the new @earlybird account, dedicated to announcing special deals and discounts to followers.This will revolve around tech, travel, entertainment and fashion. Anyone who wanted to advertise a discount would need to pay.
This actually seems like a good way to advertise things, so long as you can express your idea into 140 characters (including a link). The @earlybird account probably won’t be enough to finance Twitter alone for years to come, but it’s a decent start.
